Miranda Excels at Being Japanese

Miranda has been participating in the Japanese cultural activities that are offered. One of the activities is the Taiko Drum club at school. They have been meeting weekly and we were able to see her perform. She did a fabulous job and if she didn't have blonde hair and blue eyes I would have thought she was Japanese.

Miranda strikes a pose with her taiko drum.

Another club Miranda did at school was learning how to play the sanshin, which is an Okinawa guitar or banjo. She did a great job with only five months of practicing once a week! I am so proud of Miranda and her desire to learn about the culture that we live in.

Here she is.....April's Student of the Month!
