I know, I can't believe it either! Evan turned a year old and what a year it's been! He is a happy little boy and brings much joy to our lives. When I found out I was pregnant with Evan, I was not ready to have another baby. We all know that there is someone who knows what we need more than we do and I am so happy to have Evan.

So, I'm not a cake decorator and the football cake is actually leftover from Ryan's Blue and Gold Banquet, where they had a cake auction. Duane bid on the cake and brought it back home. I stuck it in the fridge to save for Evan's birthday a few days later. Hey, it saved me from having to bake another cake. I always make a little cake for the kids to dig into and this year I decided to make it into a baseball. It was Duane's idea to put "
lil' slugger" on it. Evan wasted no time getting into the cake. Cake was flying everywhere and I was okay with it, then he went to pick up the plate it was on and decided that I couldn't let that happen, so I took it away. I know, it would have been interesting to see what he would have done with it, but that would have required me to
scrub the floor and I just didn't want to do it.
Wow, just for me?!
Mmmm, tastes pretty good.
Hmmm, I wonder if there is a special prize in the center?
Maybe, if I keep digging I'll find a special prize?
Mmmmm good!
