NYC-West Point

After a long day in Philadelphia, we headed north to NYC.  Our hotel was in the city, so we had to brave the traffic and drive to Manhattan.  We were a bit nervous, but it wasn't too bad, you just have to be a little more aggressive.  I have been to NYC a few times, but this was the first trip for Duane and the kids and they were super excited.  Our hotel was fantastic and was only two blocks from Rockafellar Center and a ten minute walk to Times Square.  We toured Times Square, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.  We walked down Wall Street and saw Ground Zero, but with only two full days in the city we couldn't see it all.  I guess this means we will have to plan another trip to the Big Apple!

When our time was up in NYC, we ventured out of the city and up to West Point, NY to visit the United States Military Academy.  The campus is beautiful and the views of the Hudson were breathtaking!  It was definitely worth the stop!
