Yes, I am terrible at updating our blog! It's not that I don't have anything to report, it's just posting on Facebook is so much easier. So, if you are curious as to what we're up to, the most recent news is on Facebook. With the wind whipping around outside and we wait for hurricane Irene to pass on by, I figured I have no more excuses and should finally update the blog.
We've been up to quite a bit this summer!! We spent Memorial Day up visiting my sister and her family in MD, the first weekend in June down in FL for my youngest sister's high school graduation, a weekend in Charlotte, NC and a weekend in Williamsburg, VA all before the end of June!! We also squeezed in a season of baseball for Ryan and we can't forget that Miranda hit the big 12 in July!! It has been a VERY eventful summer and we're sad to see it end.

In July, Miranda turned the big 12!! I can't believe she is that old!! Do I really have a daughter who is Young Women and can baby sit for me?! Well, I have been looking forward to the babysitting thing, since it allows Duane and I to go out. I keep thinking about how much faster time is going to fly by and before I know it she will be dating and then graduating.:( Although we butt heads at time, Miranda is a HUGE help to me and I am so grateful to her. She has a special spirit and I am glad to be her mother. I look forward to watching her continue to grow into a beautiful young woman and hope to take the time to savor the years that we have left together.
